The Vincent P. Gurucharri Foundation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and as such we rely on the generosity of people like you who want to help others who may not be able to help themselves and their family due to a cancer diagnosis. A cancer diagnosis not only brings with it the mental impact of worrying about your own health & future, but also the financial impact of how to pay your bills if you can’t work.
While it’s not possible to completely ease the mind of a person in that situation, your donation will help relieve some of the financial stress so they can then focus on the most important thing – getting well. Financial assistance provided includes utilities, rent & mortgage payments, medical & medications expenses, dental care, transportation and/or any other needs that may be identified by a social worker.
Support for the Vincent P. Gurucharri, M.D. Foundation comes from donations, memorials, COMO Gives & our various fundraisers. Donors to the Foundation can rest assured that their donation will not be used to fund employee salaries or any other incidentals. Over 95% of all donations go directly to the patient’s needs. Our Board is comprised entirely of volunteers.
In Dr. Gurucharri’s own words, “People Help People”, which he found was true when the community helped him during his bone marrow transplant and illness.
